To further extend our support to the point-of-care for ePrescribing, and to meet CMS requirements for ePrescribing as mandated for January 1, 2010. Argus is certified with Surescripts (2008 merger with RxHub) to support the industry standard transactions. Argus was initially certified with RxHub in July 2006 and currently provides the following information:

• Formulary Information - NCPDP Formulary and Benefit Standard
• Eligibility - ANSI X12 270/271 Eligibility Inquiry and Response
• Drug History - NCPDP Script standard for Medication History

Targeted Intervention Strategies™ is a product designed by Argus Health Systems to support health plan initiatives relating to compliance, formulary management, and disease state management through collaboration between the patient, physician, and health plan.

Health plans sometimes require assistance keeping their members focused in the direction of the physicians and health care professionals who design and manage their care. Health plan members decisions can be influenced by information from outside sources such as direct-to-consumer advertising, brand name drug sampling, and a myriad of opinions provided by co-workers, friends, and family.

In order to achieve positive outcomes from therapy management, the plan must contend with the rising drug costs within our current health system, provide education to members and physicians, and target specific interventions to stop the ever-increasing growth trends. Targeted Intervention Strategies™ gives health plans a seamless way to suggest opportunities to members and physicians in areas where cost savings may be achieved without compromising the patient's care.

Using flexible rules provided by the plan, printed information is mailed to the member showing:

• Notification of preferred pharmacies
• Generic incentive programs or therapeutic interchange programs
• Pill splitting or ½ tablet opportunities
• Formulary conversion
• Drug recall notification

The letters will be approved by the health plan and will be printed on the health plan’s letterhead.
